Skyworth Digital Holdings Limited (“Skyworth”, and collectively with its subsidiaries, the “Group”)(HKEX stock code: 0751) proudly announces today that the Group was authorized by the China National Household Electrical Appliances Service Association (中國家電維修協會) as the executive leader,responsible for formulating LCD TV technical service standard. The Group will devise the first China flat panel TV industry standard, “The Installation and Maintenance Service Standard of Household Flat Panel TV” 《家用平板顯示電視機安裝和維修服務技術規範》. The standard will cover flat panel TV’s regulations of installation, quality control of maintenance service and techniques, maintenance technical indicators and spare parts guarantees etc. The standard will become the industry standard of flat panel TV in the household electronic industry.

According to the Ministry of Information Industry of the People's Republic of China, flat panel TV, especially LCD TV, has rapidly developed since 2005. From January to May 2006, the production of LCD TV in the country increased vigorously by 161.5% compared with the same period last year. However, the service of flat panel TV has always been lacking industry regulations, corporate recognition, satisfactory maintenance services technical indicators and operational regulations. There are thus problems of uneven quality of service, chaotic charging practices and the lack of systemic regulations. Although the Research Institute of Standardization in China drafted a “Flat Panel TV Installation Service Standard” in March, such standard doesnot cover regulations beyond the installation process, such as maintenance techniques, after-sale care and service regulations etc. Hence, the China National Household Electrical Appliances Service Association decided to work out a more comprehensive and systematic China flat panel TV industry standard based on the blueprint of the corporate flat panel TV service standard.
